What will I need to do after the implant is placed?
Once your dentist has connected the crown, the implants will need to be kept plaque free by brushing and flossing as you would your natural teeth. An antiseptic gel will be prescribed to control the plaque bacteria. Calgary Perio’s periodontists and your dentist will recommend a maintenance therapy plan that will help keep your implant, teeth, and gums in an optimum state of health.
