In fact during that time millions of dental procedures have been safely delivered to patients like you. Before starting any treatments, the doctor will carefully review your medical history and explain how sedation periodontics can help you experience an anxiety free experience.
If you are going to have oral sedation you will take the prescribed medication in the form of a pill. The intravenous sedation will be provided just prior to procedure after you arrive for treatment. A detailed letter outlining your sedation protocol will be provided to you prior to the appointment. You will need to be accompanied to and from the office.
You will be carefully monitored during the entire appointment with a pulse oximeter and blood pressure machine. Our experienced clinical team will make certain that you’re relaxed and completely comfortable. Many patients feel NO DISCOMFORT whatsoever during and after treatment . Many patients report little or no memory of the periodontal visit.
